Effects of Clomiphene Citrate Versus Letrozole on Semen Count and Motility in Men with Oligoasthenozoospermia in Osogbo, South- Western Nigeria: A Randomised Study

Background: Infertility is a major cause of socio-emotional and psychological burden world-wide nearly half all cases infertility were as result male partner’s related factors which oligoasthenozoospermia contributor. Currently, different treatments have been developed to manage this deficiency improve semen parameters but no substantial results documented.
 Aims: This study therefore aims at evaluating the effects clomiphene citrate versus letrozole on count motility in men with Osogbo, south-western Nigeria
 Study Design: A randomized control carried out gynaecology clinic LAUTECH teaching hospital, State specialist hospital Ayomide Women’s Health Specialist Hospital IVF Centre Osun State.
 Methodology: One hundred forty (140) participants into group group, 70 each arm study. The outcome measure includes improvement sperm concentration (assessed 4 8 weeks) following 3 months alternate day administration by participants. compared Clomiphene Letrozole among oligoasthenozoospermia. Data collected analysed using Statistical Package for Social Statistics (SPSS-21) software level significance was set < 0.05.
 Results: caused significant having higher both when citrate. There 43.65% increased weeks 48.24% post-treatment while 17.68% 26.27% increment observed. Also, there 33.24% 42.09% 14.30% and18.56% post-treatment.
 Conclusion: Sperm oligoasthenozoospermiacan be improved Higher effect observed Letrizole clomiphene.
